IBM 2105 ESS Shark
The Model 800 Shark is a second-generation Seascape disk storage system that provides availability, performance, manageability and scalability. Virtually all types of servers can concurrently attach to the Enterprise Storage Server, such as S/390, Windows 2000/2003, Linux, AS/400 and many types of UNIX servers.



Cisco MDS 9000 Family
The Cisco MDS 9000 family, resold by IBM, now introduces the Cisco MDS 9120 and 9140 Multilayer Fabric Switches, designed to provide 1 Gbps and 2 Gbps Fibre Channel switch connectivity and intelligent network services to help improve the security, performance, and manageability required to consolidate geographically dispersed storage devices into a large enterprise SAN. Administrators can use the Cisco MDS 9120 and 9140 switches to help address the needs for high performance and reliability in SAN applications ranging from midrange to large enterprise SAN environments. Functional compatibility within the Cisco MDS 9000 family helps to provide end-to-end service delivery in large data center core-edge deployments.



IBM FAStT900

McDATA Enterprise Fibre Channel (EFC) Director
IBM now offers the McDATA 4300 Fabric Switch, an entry level fibre channel switch, based upon proven midrange McDATA 4500 Fabric Switch technology, with scalability from four to twelve ports.

Additionally, IBM now offers McDATA Enterprise Operating System, EOS 6.0 and Enterprise Fabric Connectivity Manager, EFCM 8.0 features with advanced intelligence which can simplify management of large, complex enterprise-to-edge SAN fabrics.



NAS Gateway
The new IBM TotalStorage NAS Gateway 500 system uses POWER 4 microprocessors and networking software designed to help clients extract value from their existing storage infrastructures by providing a fast, reliable, common link to various locations where data resides. The product is designed to reduce the need to create islands of new storage systems that can require greater levels of administration and support.

Built with flexibility and openness in mind, the NAS Gateway 500 is designed to provide file serving capabilities for IBM eServer systems, IBM TotalStorage Enterprise Storage ServerT and IBM TotalStorage FAStT products. The gateway also supports UNIX, Linux and Windows clients. When used with IBM TotalStorage SAN Volume Controller, the gateway can support storage servers from other vendors as well. As a result, clients have the flexibility to evolve their storage infrastructure as their business and technology needs change.
